Soldiers of the Syrian Army's Second Army Corps are greeted by loyal citizens of Ma'loolaa after having crushed the filthy rodent infestation. They are heading to Yabrood.
Yesterday, Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at about 7:30 p.m. Damascus time, the last foot soldier-rat of the Jabhat Al-Nusra and Al-Faarooq Battalion, departed Ma'loolaa for the areas of Yabrood, Al-Nabak and Al-Qaarra. Their numbers were in the hundreds and they will have to be killed soon enough when the army and militias are properly configured for that campaign.
Last Wednesday, a suicide bomber of Jordanian nationality drove a reinforced Mercedes truck into a checkpoint manned by SAA regulars and killed over 10 of them. Once the checkpoint was destroyed, a large force of Chechen rodents and their traitor confederates entered the city and began a reign of terror which included forced conversion of some families to Islam and the taking of hostages (one male son from every family). SyrPer predicted accurately that the SAA would quickly regain its bearings and deliver a punishing blow to the rats. That happened on Thursday, the following day.
After that, many reports were broadcast about a sudden SAA withdrawal from the city and the return of the terrorist vermin who had taken position to the north in the hills where many defensible positions exist for insurgent forces. I know Maria was particularly devastated to hear about this. I could not respond to the rumors directly because I was told that the situation was "murky" (غامض). I did report in my blog, however, that it appeared the SAA pulled out. That news was also carried by other reliable sources.
The truth is that the SAA did withdraw after orders came in from the Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayyoob to redeploy to certain safer areas, for the reason that an expected American missile and aircraft attack was expected on or after September 9, 2013 when the American House of Representatives could have given Obama a green light to attack Syria. The fear was that the Syrian army and militias in Ma'loolaa could attract a direct strike from Tomahawk missiles which, while considered "smart weapons", did not distinguish between a truck and a priceless relic from antiquity. The decision to leave Ma'loolaa with its exposed and vulnerable Christian population was "extremely painful" for the generals in charge, but, it had to be done.
Once the fear of an imminent American strike had been diffused by a series of events the generals could not have expected, the decision was made to re-attack Ma'loolaa and free it of the Islamist murderous rodents. That was accomplished yesterday in the evening when the last of the filth left under the withering fire of the SAA, militia and NDF. The SAA was ordered to use only "light weapons" out of fear that heavier kinds could damage the city's precious historical sites more so than the terrorist rodents. As of this writing, the SAA is cleaning up remnant snipers who have staked a claim at the "Ambassador Hotel" and some caves in the northern hills. They are described as "Apocalyptic Types" who believe their death is a ticket to Heaven. Of course, we know the truth. Also, SAA sappers are defanging IEDs and booby trapped cars which the brave rats left so as to kill more innocent civilians.

The events which led to the return of the SAA to the city of about 6,000 were: Kerry's completely flippant remark in London to a reporter that Dr. Assad could avoid an attack by giving up his WMDs and the arrival of a "special cargo" with 3 other Russian war vessels. As to the latter, I am unable to speak except in generalities. But, Monzer and Wael both confirm that some Russian maneuver was detected and viewed as significant. We also believe that the O'Bagy scandal might have influenced the generals. Tee hee hee.

It was also reported that more terrorists were ordered to reinforce the ones in Ma'loolaa out the 'Arsaal area of Lebanon, but SAAF showered them with flowers and made their entry impossible. Wael reports over 138 confirmed dead rats on the Lebanese border.
Also, the villages of Dayr Maar Taqla and Dayr Maar Sarkees were liberated and rendered rat-free yesterday. NDF is taking up positions as families return to the area.
In addition to this, a group of 10 hostages taken by Chechen cannibals were freed by SAA SF last night. None were injured and are no worse for wear.
The NDF and elements of the 2nd Army Corps are heading for Yabrood.
